A Bit About Me
I consider myself naturally introverted but selectively extroverted and find a way to relate to nearly anyone I meet. I find truth in Maya Angelou’s quote, “We are more alike [...] than we are unalike” and through those similarities, we can help each other overcome the differences and challenges in our lives. Supportive and nonjudgmental therapy has been a great way for me to achieve that with others in a variety of settings, including a community agency, an opiate treatment center and a 24/7 crisis line.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Spanish and Sociology from Georgetown University and my Masters of Science and Specialist in Education degree in Couples and Family Counseling from University of NC at Greensboro. More recently, I’ve trained as both a birth and postpartum doula and enjoy supporting others on a variety of life paths.
I fully believe and support that we all have a right to show up authentically as our true selves and be respected as such. When we all have room to show up holistically, we can survive and heal from our worst days and thrive into creating our best days. I’m glad you are considering therapy and I would be honored to accompany you on your journey.
