A Bit About Me
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) I have worked with individuals, families, and systems across the life span. My practice has occurred in many settings and various disciplines including private practice therapy, inpatient mental health, crisis intervention, medical social work, case management, community mental health, coaching and training, executive leadership, consultation, and academia. My areas of expertise as a therapist include men’s issues, couples, and life transitions/adjustments. As a clinician my area of interest and research include suicide prevention, racial disparities in mental health, impact of attachment bonds and attachment theory in adulthood functioning, and clinical supervision.

Having obtained my MSW from East Carolina University in 2012, I’ve received numerous awards and recognitions including being the recipient of the 2011 Glaxo-Smith Kline Opportunity Scholarship, 2011 Herman & Susan Mueller ECU MSW Fellowship, 2012 NASW-NC President’s Award, and a slew of other recognized achievements and accolades.
